Growing up in central Connecticut with a family in the automotive industry, we were also into motorsports so much so that my brother and I used to both compete in Quarter Midget Racing. At some point in our racing career we made friends with the Logano family who were also racing at the same track each weekend. The up-and-coming Joey Logano obviously continued racing long after me, but our families remain in contact to this day and we meet up every few years. One of those meetings included Hot Passes at the Miami Motor Speedway where I was able to snatch a lug nut after a mid-race pit-stop.
